What’s New in 2025–26
Secure Browser
Versions
- LEAs using devices with ChromeOS will require a new secure browser application, the version associated with the SecureTest Progressive Web Application, beginning with the release of ChromeOS version 139. Devices that remain on ChromeOS version 138 can continue to use the previously available version of the secure browser.
- Because iPadOS now uses Assessment Mode by default, it is no longer necessary to configure this mode specifically for use with the secure browser.
- The updated secure browser versions for the 2025–26 CAASPP and ELPAC administrations are presented in table 1. These are the only secure browser versions supported for testing.
