What’s New for the ELPAC in 2024–25?

Initial ELPAC Forms

The number of forms will increase to two for the 2024–25 Initial ELPAC to accommodate items to be field-tested for this test administration only.

  • Download the corresponding DFA for the assigned form.

Initial ELPAC Form 2 Second Scoring

To gather interrater reliability data on the field test items, there are LEAs assigned Form 2 that are required to have the LEA ELPAC coordinator return completed kindergarten Initial ELPAC scannable Form 2 Writing Answer Books to ETS for second scoring. Only kindergarten Writing Answer Books are needed for second scoring, so these selected Form 2 LEAs do not need to send completed Writing Answer Books for grades one and two.

LEAs assigned to Form 2 will be notified when the number of responses for analysis has been met and to hold off sending additional kindergarten Writing Answer Books to ETS.

Test Administration Functionality

Test Delivery System

  • For drag-and-drop items, students and test examiners can now click or tap once on the answer choice and again on the target answer box to enter their response and click or tap once to reset the target to its original state.
  • Student message dialog boxes have been updated to include iconography representative of the nature of the message.

System Access

  • Passwords required for access to systems associated with ELPAC testing have the following new requirements:
    • The minimum password length will be 12 characters.
    • The new password must be different from the last 24 passwords.
