What’s New for ELPAC in 2026–27?

Accessibility Resources

  • Non-embedded sensory items is now a designated support (rather than an accommodation).
  • A specific grade range of the embedded pause or replay audio designated support for the Listening domain has been removed; this resource is available to all K–12 students.

Test Administration Applications

THSS

  • LEA ELPAC coordinators can run a daily report that lists the number of items that must be locally hand scored within the entire LEA by selecting the [District-Level Report] button on the Select School screen.

Completion Status System

  • The user interface has been refreshed.

Test Operations Management System

  • Users are required to select a reason for a domain exemption after selecting the checkbox on the Test Assignments screen in the student’s profile to assign one.
  • US School Entry Date has been added as a field that is locked at the time of the student’s first Summative ELPAC, or Summative Alternate ELPAC, or CAASPP testing start event.
  • The Demographic Error testing issue, a path in STAIRS, allows LEAs who have tested students with incorrect demographics on their TOMS profile a chance to reset a test and allow a correction to be made.
