After Testing, Summative ELPAC
Handling Summative ELPAC Test Materials
To ensure the timely scoring of the Answer Books and analysis of scores for the assessment, LEAs are asked to ship completed Answer Books at least twice a month upon completion of the K–2 Writing test administration. Refer to table 1 in the Test Scheduling subsection of this manual for key dates. It is not necessary to wait for all K–2 Writing assessments to be administered before returning completed Answer Books. For complete instructions for returning materials after testing, refer to the Summative ELPAC Packing and Return Instructions document that was included with the K–2 Writing test materials.
Securely Destroying Used Test Materials
Per 5 CCR, Division 1, Chapter 11, Subchapter 7.6, Article 5 ; the ELPAC Test Security Agreement; and the ELPAC Test Security Affidavit require LEA ELPAC coordinators, site ELPAC coordinators, and all persons who come in contact with ELPAC test materials to take all necessary precautions to safeguard all tests and test materials. At the end of each school year, LEAs are required to ensure that all used and unused Summative ELPAC test materials are locally and securely destroyed.
At the end of each Summative ELPAC administration year, LEA ELPAC coordinators must complete the following:
- Securely destroy the following materials after the end of the test administration window, May 31, 2027, as directed by the testing contractor in the ELPAC and Alternate ELPAC Secure Destruction and Return Instructions document that accompanied the materials:
