What’s New in 2023–24

Welcome to the 2023–24 CERS User Guide. The CERS User Guide is accessible on a desktop web browser, tablet, or smartphone. The sections that follow describe some of the changes for CERS.

View Student Groups

Administrators have an additional tool to manage and view student groups. For the selected student group, the list will expand and display 20 students per page. The total count of students in the student group and number of pages are also reflected in this view. (Refer to View Student Groups section under Administrative Features in CERS.)

California Science Test (CAST) Interim Assessments

CAST Interim Assessment results became available to California local educational agencies (LEAs) for the first time during the 2023–24 school year. CERS features for viewing these new interim assessment results will be released in phases (see Table 1 below).

English Language Proficiency Assessments for California (ELPAC) Interim Assessments

ELPAC Interim Assessment results became available to California local educational agencies (LEAs) for the first time during the 2023–24 school year. CERS features for these new interim assessments will be released in phases (see Table 1 below).
